Festivals, food and of course fashion - the perfect summer cocktail, summer is officially here. July will see NOWLAN grow in new ways hot off the heels from our debut collection fashion show. Alongside introducing our newest female founder stories and new collaboration guest editors.
This month we introduce our next two female founders in our ‘Female Founder Story’ series, she is the highly recognised London based skincare expert, Lisa Franklin. Since I met Lisa, I have always found her journey inspiring filled with numerous accolades and her flagship skincare clinic based in Kingsbridge. In our discussion Lisa shares the inspiration behind the brand and her entrepreneurial knowledge and advice to other aspiring entrepreneurs. Our second female founder of the month is an icon of British fashion and a pioneer in print design. After the success of the inaugural NOWLAN fashion show on the 20th of June at the Jimmy Choo Academy in Mayfair, I will now begin to research the next collection. Still inspired by growing up in the countryside and 70s music, but with a fresh new take by further researching into these areas. I look forward to establishing NOWLAN over the next month and elevating and growing the brand.
Sat in the cabaret dressing room post fashion show hosted at 8 Embankment as I am writing this. Whilst the auction murmurs on in the background for the This Is Icon charity gala raising vital funds for the children's charity, the NSPCC. This tucked away corner is quite the difference from just 20 minutes ago .
On Thursday the 5 th of September, the vibrant Dotique independent boutique had its opening day. Opening their third store in the prime location of 36b High Street Witney. This new store is a step away from their other two stores located in Chesterfield and Rowsley, marking a significant expansion for the brand. “We are so excited to announce the opening of our third Dotique store in the gorgeous town of Witney," explains Dorothy Robinson, founder of Dotique.
Autumn is officially here, as we say goodbye to sunny days and lighter evenings we look to the month ahead. Heading back to the hustle and bustle of daily life and work routines. Not forgetting this season is also filled with crispy maple-coloured leaves, cashmere jumpers all captured with a chill in the air and a hot chocolate in hand. Yet, as any fashion disciple knows this month in the fashion calendar is equally as electric as it is hectic.
